Flu means a great WoW life.

So, all last week I was stuck at home with the flu. Needless to say this hasn’t been my favorite fall and I’m eager to move on to Winter. This all started way back when I got a head cold. Nothing serious, I stayed home from work one day because I was doing something fun that weekend and didn’t want to miss it. From that I developed a mild sinus/ear infection, of course, I’ve never had either before so I wasn’t sure what was going on and left it alone. Finally, I went to the doctor and he gave me some antibotics to try, as life turns out, I was allergic to them. The nurse said I was lucky it was only the “normal” allergy symptoms not the serious ones. Richard and I are as well. I happen to have a Wed off and that’s the day I started taking them so.. yeah. Just as I was finishing the 2nd kind of antibiotic I was given(this time no allergy!), I worked a Saturday and came home tired but figured no big deal. Sunday morning I woke up and BAM, I was out all week. Luckily I had to call the doctor’s office to report in about my treatment and when I talked to them they said it sounded like the flu for sure. I was asked if I wanted to come in and get checked out but I already knew it was the flu and now they knew as well. Plus I wasn’t really keen on leaving the house at all. I am finally starting to be hungry again, which is shocking for me I know. I’ll even plan vacations around where I’ll be eating. I started work again this past Monday, however I went in slowly with 5 hour shifts.

So, what did I do all week long? Well, I can count them on one hand: sleeping, knit/crochet, WoW, bathroom and drank a lot of hot water. I was much better about knitting in the beginning of the week. But Richard would often stay later at work so he could spend that much longer with me in the morning so it meant he go home later, in an effort to wait for him I would play WoW. When I got lonely during the day, before nap time, I would play WoW. Really, I’ve never leveled characters so fast! Both Kailin and Yingtai jumped two levels. I’ve got two characters on another server and one of them went from nothing(because she didn’t exist yet) to now 17 and the other went from about level 10 to 21. Everyone who remembers me taking nearly 2 years to level Kailin to 60 would be so proud! I’ve met about 5 really great people on my new server, which is also a roleplaying server(I’ve had to make up stories about my two girls as I go along and often feel WoW dumb because I don’t know a races back story very well or at all), my main server isn’t and sometimes things are different. Two of the people from the new server now also have characters on hyjal. 😛 They are great fun! My younger character on the rp server, has already had 3 marriage proposals. Which I’m told happens a lot.. she’s turned them all down though.

In other news, my wedding dress is now being used in the window display of the shop I bought it from. This is pretty exciting for me to see it look so pretty in the window. Hopefully, I’ll take a picture soon and then I’ll put it in my scrapbook. Speaking of, very early last week I ordered prints for our wedding scrapbook. I wish they would have arrived sooner, but they just got here yesterday. I can start working on it again now. 🙂 I love looking at the photos of our wedding, especially the ones where I know Ute was telling us not to laugh.
