Mid-pregnancy update

We are now a couple weeks over halfway through pregnancy with baby number 2. So far all of my appointments and test results have come back with glowing results.

Week 21

My doctors are pleased that my blood pressure has continued to stay low. In addition to no signs of other complications. Upcoming in the next month I have the glucose test. While pregnant with Quince, I failed the short version of this test just barely but enough to have them ask me to repeat the longer version. I still dislike any lemon-lime carbonated beverages. Fingers are crossed I don’t have to do the longer version.

At the recommendation of my sister in law, I joined a clothing rental service titled Le Tote for maternity clothes. Thus far I’ve been really pleased with what they have sent. Only two individual items have not fit correctly, one being a maxi-skirt. I honestly don’t know what i was thinking when I added it to my tote. Generally speaking it is extremely rare that I find a skirt labelled as a maxi-skirt which isn’t too long for me. What I like about it is they pick items for you, then you can change it if you don’t like it before they ship out. It allows me to refresh my wears and it’s as causal or dressy as I need it to be. Here’s a referral code if you want to try it out, they have much more than maternity!

This baby was a little on the shy side for the 20 week anatomy ultrasound, spending most of it curled into a tight little ball. Although we did get to see some flexibility that would make yoga practicers drool. Often baby’s hands and feet were up by its head.

The ultrasound tech informed us we would be having a boy. Although the photo they printed for us leaves something to be desired in my mind.
