A different kind of picky eater

Here at the kitchen table, sits Quince and I enjoying our lunch while I spend time updating my website(finally!). Admittedly, I don’t have my laptop at the table when we all sit together but in this case I had just gotten my food ready and sat down when he woke up from his nap. Go figure huh?
Today, Q is having a bowl of spaghetti with mixed noodles of normal long and bow-tie. He is being very selective as he picks around the long spaghetti noodles to stab the bow-ties with his fork. It’s a very entertaining sight.IMG_0197

Our little baby has grown into a tiny tot. For a couple months he uses a normal glass with not only expertise but care.  He loves to have company while eating and one of his favorite past times is pretending to talk on the phone. Usually, using one of our old phones. While talking he paces around the house chatting and laughing the whole time. Richard and I only wonder what it is that he might be saying. His calls are often very lively.

Recently I went onto the apple app store and found a toddler app that was also an editor’s choice pick. The app is called Endless Alphabet and geared for kids about age 4 and up. It’s designed to help promote spelling and sound skills via a cute UI of monsters. While Q is a little young for it, I figured we could give it a go and play together if it’s too hard for him. At first he didn’t really care for it or understand how you move the letters around and about a week later he was loading it up in the car. After another week or so he was spelling the word tangle. The game itself is well done and pretty good. I would highly recommend it.
