Tomorrow our baby turns 1 year old. It’s wild to think that a year has gone by already. I suppose it’s time I stop hoping he’ll be a good baby while I work and count my lucky stars that for the most part he is happy and has been quite good.
7 Months
Got the title “mischievous baby” for his habit of getting into things
Could pull himself up to stand starting over memorial day weekend
Wants to walk – crawling is so 2 days ago
Wants to try food, but makes most of the time food is still poison
8 Months
Climbing onto things, anything really but Quince’s Poang chair is a favorite
Splashing in bowls of cat water
Can slowly walk around furniture, etc
He gets nervous when doing a diaper change in an unfamiliar space.
Got his first tooth July 21st – 2nd tooth the next week
Dancing to Moana’s soundtrack
His poppy pillow
Dislikes: when Q or Daddy don’t say hi after being gone for some time
Wet/dirty diapers(still)
Some tin-y noises
Daddy sneezing at night
9 Months
Clapping along with things- music & applause
Enjoys not holding still for photos, opening cabinets, pulling dvds and cds off the shelf
Likes to eat banana, applesauce and chicken
Likes to hear echos
Play on the keyboard
Digging in the plant when I’m not suppose too
He can wave, clap his hands, shake his head for yes and no.
Dislikes Having his diaper taken off
Generally dislikes being contained – I want to wiggle
Does not like things on tables(on going since he has been able to stand)
Dislikes being told no in a stern voice
10 months
He will dance to music he likes
A favorite is Moana’s Your Welcome & We know the way
New foods: shredded beef & ham
Godzilla mode(aka saying rawr at his cars/whatever toy he’s playing with)
Can walk side to side and backwards while holding onto our legs
Will occasionally sign Potty when he has a full diaper
Still working on signing more and milk
Likes to stand in the Poang chair to watch traffic out the front window – he still gets stuck in it.
First early steps the weekend he turns 11 months old!
11 months
First steps! From the footstool to me, in the center of the living room. About 2 feet total.
Loves figs, bananas or banana bread
His bobby pillow – at times he will even try to bring it to me.
He can also drink from his cup.
