2013 Relay for Life Sequim

We survived the walk! Q and I got to Sequim about 5pm. I know the walk started at 3pm, but Q was napping at that time and I didn’t want to wake him. We got there just in time to take the group photo of the participates spelling the word hope.

Sadly, I didn’t get a copy of the photo. I completely forgot in fact. Thanks to Sam and Siri who also came out to support us and walk a few laps as well. Grace stayed until about 9pm but since she had duty so couldn’t stay the night. Richard and Q stayed with me. After walking one or two laps on his own, Q then rode in the stroller and was asleep in another couple laps. Siri even kept track of her laps to make our team look even better! Woot!
We headed into the tent about midnight. I sat knitting while Richard surfed on his phone. I decided I was exhausted but not ready to sleep. I left the tent and did more walking. After a lap or three I met up with Marie. We walked together until about 2am, when I decided I needed to sleep.
At 6am I was woken up by an announcement and decided to get up and walk some more.
Here’s some photos of our adventures. The very last one is the final lap count for Grace, Q and I. Siri’s count was just out of range for the photo unfortunately.

Thanks again to everyone who donated in our name!

Q woke up about 20mins after I did, and I pulled him out of the tent and he walked a couple more laps.
