Few and far between

I meant to post here a bit more like once a month when we moved from nothing to wordpress, it hasn’t really worked out that way for me. Part of the problem is that when I think about posting, ie waiting in the ferry line or over at someone else’s house, I either lack internet or have forgotten my password. For those who may read this to keep up on what’s happening with us,  I’m sorry to be so slow in sharing.  With that, here’s what’s been going on.

Over a month ago now we took a weekend and helped Kami move from her apartment in Bellingham to a one in West Seattle. It was a great day for a drive! I know moving sucks, but it was clear sunny blue sky and it was perfect to haul boxes in as well. Took us about 7 hours total to drive up there, load the truck then drive back and unload. Not to bad. Since she’s moved to West Seattle I’ve seen her every weekend. It’s great fun!

The last weekend of May meant Richard’s annual volunteer time to the Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts. It was a amazing how fast it came up. He said that he had a good time but the weather wasn’t all that great this year. Speaking of, I am currently employed with them on a very very part time basis doing some basic Quickbooks entries. I’m enjoying the chance to learn new things and work with them. So far all I can say is that I’m really enjoying it. It’s possible that I won’t be doing this after the end of this month but I’m happy for the chance to do it until whenever.

Sunday of that same weekend, I attended Rhia’s second birthday party with Kami as my date. I love seeing her! Lately I’ve seen her a lot but boy does she change so much between each visit. It’s really amazing to see.

This past weekend I was over there because Cas, Andrea, Kami and I decided to form a team for the Susan Komen Walk for the Cure-Puget Sound. The walk was Sunday morning but I went over Saturday afternoon. We all stayed at Cas’s house where the four of us sat up until 1am and went through 3 bottles of wine. Perhaps not the smartest before a walk that started at 9am but we had fun just being girls. The next morning we headed out with Rhia for the walk. It had rained pretty hard the night before but was only sprinkling when we actually started walking. Turns out it was perfect weather, the walking combined with the cool, light sprinkling was enough so that you didn’t get too overly hot. After we finished we went to a cute place in Edmonds for brunch and mimosas. Yummy!

This coming weekend Richard and I are attending an operetta with his mom on Saturday. Not sure what else our plans are. Richard told him I could dress up though too. 🙂
